ENCUENTROS JUVENILES CHICAGO
Our name is Youth Encounters because anyone who knows Christ rejuvenates their heart and spirit!
We are a non-profit association that works with the foundations of the Catholic Church, to support young people, adults of any age and families to encounter Christ and find solutions to their problems of depression, addictions, domestic violence, or couples with separation problems, through a 3-day spiritual retreat of meditation, reflection and fellowship.
If you've tried everything to solve your problems and nothing has worked: then try Christ!
MYSTICISM
It is based on experiencing a triple encounter: first with oneself to know oneself and know what direction to give to one's life; second with the community, knowing how to live together and accept others; and third and most important, an encounter with the living and resurrected Christ, with his love and his forgiveness, and once you know Christ you are not the same.
THE WAY WE HELP
Our program makes participants aware of their mission as lay people, and as good citizens.
SOCIAL WORK
We know that faith without works is dead! So we help those most in need, giving from the little we have, and thus we make real what Jesus told us, "I was hungry and you gave me food..." (Mt. 25:35)
SPIRITUAL AND HUMAN FORMATION
We provide follow-up and support to the participants, and we assist in their spiritual, human and personal formation in our weekly perseverances in each parish community where we work.
He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses so that Christ’s power may rest on me! (2 Corinthians 12:9)

ACTIVITIES
Through our weekly meetings, retreats, and training sessions, we have witnessed countless miracles in teenagers finding meaning in their lives, young people working on God's path, couples repairing their relationships, and many more transforming their lives and helping others who are unhappy.
